Set up Google Search Console
Verify your site, submit a sitemap, and connect GSC to PingAura.
Google Search Console (GSC) is required to map AI visibility to search queries and landing pages. Follow the steps below to verify your site and connect it to PingAura.
Before you begin
- A Google account.
- Access to your domain DNS (required for Domain properties) or the ability to add a verification file or meta tag.
- Your preferred canonical domain (HTTPS + host).
Step-by-step setup
- Open Google Search Console and click Add property.
- Choose Domain to cover all protocols and subdomains (recommended), or URL prefix for a single URL.
- Verify ownership:
- Domain requires a DNS TXT record.
- URL prefix supports DNS, HTML file upload, meta tag, or Google Tag Manager.
- After verification completes, confirm the property appears in the property selector.
- Submit your sitemap (if available, e.g.
https://example.com/sitemap.xml) so Google can discover key URLs faster.
After setup (optional)
Review the core reports:
- Performance to see clicks, impressions, and queries.
- Manual Actions to confirm no policy violations.
- Security Issues to check for hacked content.
- URL Inspection when a specific page needs troubleshooting.

Connect GSC to PingAura
- In PingAura, go to AI Traffic > Connections.
- Make sure you have GSC Owner access for the property you want to connect.
- Authorize Google Search Console and select the verified property.
- Map your canonical domain (the preferred HTTPS + host, e.g.
https://example.com) so sessions, citations, and traffic align to the same URLs. If you manage multiple domains, map each one.
Data Latency
- GSC typically lags 24-48 hours.
