About the role
A lot of marketing work is really engineering: content pipelines, programmatic pages, tracking that holds up, and automations that run without anyone watching. We are hiring a Marketing Engineer to build and own that side of the house.
PingAura helps brands get discovered in AI search. Our main product is the AI Coworker, an agent that helps brands improve visibility across AI answer surfaces like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. We are pre-seed, backed by 14 CXO angel investors, Google for Startups, and AWS, with 700+ brands on the platform and a content engine of blog posts, free tools, case studies, and docs. We need someone to make it run faster and measure it properly.
This is not a marketer who edits HTML, and it is not a backend engineer picking up marketing tickets. It is for someone who reaches for code first: you find the repeating task or the number nobody trusts, and you build the thing that fixes it.
This role requires shipped work. It is for someone who has already built systems people depend on and now wants to combine engineering, growth, analytics, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.
This is an on-site role at our Mumbai office. You will sit with the founding team, hear customer calls, and ship in your first week.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the growth stack: analytics instrumentation, event tracking, and the data flows that connect tools (events, warehouse, activation)
- Make attribution trustworthy. Wire Google Search Console, GA4, and PostHog into one clear view of what drives signups, and retire dashboards no one believes
- Automate the content and AEO engine: programmatic and templated pages, internal tools, and pipelines that reuse one source asset across many outputs
- Set up lifecycle and nurture automation: email sequences, in-product triggers, and CRM sync, so the right message goes out without manual work
- Use AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor) to do marketing engineering at scale, then review the output with a critical eye
- Build experiment infrastructure: landing pages, A/B tests, and the measurement to call a winner
- Keep data handling privacy-first and compliant. Consent and GDPR are part of the build, not an afterthought
- Join customer and growth calls, and turn what you hear into instrumentation, automation, and shipped pages
You may be a good fit if
- You write real code: JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS, and you are comfortable calling APIs and reading docs to connect two systems
- You have shipped marketing systems people use: tracking that holds up, automations that run unattended, or pages that rank and convert
- You have strong hands-on experience across APIs, analytics tools, data pipelines, and deployment workflows
- You think in funnels and experiments. Hypothesis, instrument, measure, repeat, and you care that the numbers are right
- You know your way around analytics and tag management (GA4, GSC, GTM or similar) and have fixed tracking that quietly broke
- You would rather build the system that sends 10,000 personalized emails than send them by hand
- You use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools seriously in your development workflow
- You are comfortable reviewing AI-generated code instead of blindly accepting it
- You live in Mumbai or can move here. This is an on-site role
Strong candidates may also have
- Experience with AI agents or LLM APIs: generating content, automating marketing ops, or wiring tool-calling workflows into production
- A background in SEO, AEO, or martech, and a sense of how content gets found
- Working knowledge of Python for data scripts, automation, or AI tooling
- Working knowledge of a CDP, warehouse, or reverse-ETL setup, and the data modeling that keeps activation clean
- Experience with marketing automation or CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Resend, or similar) and their APIs
- Open-source work, side projects, or a portfolio of things you have built and shipped on your own
What we work with
- Language: TypeScript across the stack
- Web: Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, Server Actions, Tailwind, Shadcn UI
- Data and analytics: Google Search Console, GA4, PostHog, and PostgreSQL on Supabase
- Marketing and lifecycle: Resend for email, a CMS-driven content engine, and programmatic page generation
- AI: OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic behind a multi-provider routing layer, with Cursor and Claude Code in daily use
- Cloud: GCP for compute, data, and storage, AWS for CDN
- Workflow: Turborepo monorepo with pnpm
Compensation
- Competitive salary benchmarked for early-stage startups in India
Why this team
AI search is changing how brands get found, and you build the growth engine for a product in the middle of it. The content already has traction, so you are scaling something real rather than starting over. Most marketers cannot build, and most engineers do not think about funnels. Here you do both. The team is small, the customers are real, the founders are close by, and decisions move fast.
