About the role
Brands need to optimize and monetize how AI sees them. PingAura gives them the tools - dashboards, scores, audits, and an AI assistant that turns data into action. We are a small, pre-seed team backed by 14 CXO angel investors, Google for Startups, and AWS, and we are building something new.
We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to own the surface customers see. Real-time visibility scores, competitor benchmarking tables, site audit reports, and a conversational AI assistant with streaming output. Every interface you build serves real users making real decisions.
You will shape the frontend architecture, pick the patterns, and set the standards. There are no pixel-perfect specs to wait on - you will work closely with product and backend to figure things out as you go.
This is not an entry-level role. It is for someone who has already shipped customer-facing production interfaces and wants to build AI-native product surfaces with strong engineering judgment, speed, and ownership.
Responsibilities
- Build dashboard views that surface optimization metrics, audit findings, and competitive insights
- Implement interactive data visualizations - time-series charts, ranking tables, comparison grids
- Build and iterate on a streaming AI assistant interface with tool-calling UI patterns
- Own the component library and maintain consistency across the application
- Optimize Core Web Vitals - bundle size, render performance, lazy loading, caching
- Integrate with REST and real-time APIs for live data updates
- Set up frontend testing, error monitoring, and CI integration
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and data shapes
You may be a good fit if
- You have 2+ years building production web applications with a modern component-based framework
- You have strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals - you can debug layout and performance issues without Stack Overflow
- You have strong TypeScript experience and care about type safety as a design tool
- You have experience with React/Next.js or similar frontend frameworks
- You have built data-heavy UIs: dashboards, admin panels, analytics tools, or developer platforms
- You are comfortable with state management patterns, API integration, and client-side caching
- You have an eye for UI polish - loading states, error boundaries, empty states, responsive breakpoints
- You can ship independently in a fast-moving codebase
- You use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools seriously in your development workflow
- You are comfortable reviewing AI-generated code instead of blindly accepting it
Strong candidates may also have
- Experience with streaming or SSE interfaces, charting libraries (Recharts, D3, Visx), or server-rendered frameworks
- Familiarity with Next.js App Router, React Server Components, and Server Actions
- Experience building AI chat, agent, eval, or observability interfaces
- Background in SEO tooling, marketing analytics, or developer-facing products
- An eye for product - you have opinions about how things should work, not just how they should look
What we work with
- Language: TypeScript across the stack
- Web: Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, Server Actions, Tailwind, Shadcn UI
- Database: PostgreSQL on Supabase with row-level security; pg_cron and pgmq for scheduled and queued work
- Cache and rate limiting: Redis on Memorystore - caching, distributed rate limiting, queue patterns
- AI: OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic via a multi-provider routing layer
- Observability: Langfuse for LLM traces, Sentry for errors, plus standard cloud logging and monitoring
- Cloud: GCP for compute, data, and storage; AWS for CDN
- Workflow: Turborepo monorepo, pnpm, Cursor and Claude Code daily
Compensation
- Competitive salary aligned with early-stage startups in India, adjusted for experience
Why this team
You join as a founding engineer and shape the frontend architecture from the ground up. The product is data-rich and technically interesting, not another CRUD app. Paying customers use what you ship.
