About the Job
PingAura is building the platform brands use to get discovered by AI. When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI a question, our customers want to show up in the answer. We give them the tools to make that happen.
You will be our first designer. You will shape how people see their data, run audits, and talk to our AI assistant. Think dashboards full of scores, charts, and competitor tables. Your job is to make all of that feel simple. Clear. Even fun to use.
This is a founding role. You won't just push pixels. You will help decide what we build and how it works. You will talk to customers, sketch ideas on a whiteboard, and ship real screens every week.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end design process from research to shipped product
- Turn complex data (visibility scores, ranking trends, audit reports) into screens that are easy to scan and act on
- Design and maintain a component library that maps to our design system
- Run lightweight user research — interviews, usability tests, session recordings — and feed insights back to the team
- Collaborate daily with engineers to make sure designs ship with high fidelity
- Create clear information hierarchies for data-dense dashboards and tables
- Design conversational UI patterns for our AI chat assistant
- Improve flows based on real usage data and customer feedback
Who we're looking for
- 3+ years designing SaaS or data-heavy products (dashboards, analytics tools, or developer platforms)
- A portfolio that shows strong information design — how you organize complex data so it makes sense at a glance
- Proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, variables, and component architecture
- Comfort with fast iteration — you ship work in progress, gather feedback, and improve
- Experience working closely with frontend engineers (bonus if you can read basic HTML/CSS)
- Good eye for typography, spacing, and color in data visualization
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
- Bonus: experience with AI products, SEO tools, or design systems
