Changelog

PingAura Telemetry for WordPress

A WordPress plugin that sends AI-assistant visits and AI crawler requests to PingAura, with no code changes and full support for cached pages.

PingAura Telemetry now has a WordPress plugin. Install it, paste an ingest key, and the visits ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI assistants send to your site appear in AI Traffic → PingAura Telemetry. No code changes and no developer needed.

Highlights

  • Works with caching. Visits are counted on cached pages, so LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, WP Super Cache and host CDNs don't hide your AI traffic.
  • Your key stays private. Visits are forwarded by your own site, so the ingest key never reaches the browser.
  • AI crawler requests. Optionally record GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and other AI crawlers that reach WordPress.
  • Test before you go live. New installs start in Test mode, with buttons to send a sample ChatGPT visit and a sample GPTBot request and see PingAura's reply.
  • Light and private. A few hundred bytes of script that runs after the page has loaded, and no cookies for visitors.

How to set it up

  1. Create an ingest key in Workspace settings → API & MCP.
  2. Download the plugin from its latest release and upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Paste the key in Settings → PingAura Telemetry, send a test visit, then switch to Live.
