Which file types are supported?

PDF, Word (DOCX), PowerPoint (PPTX), Excel (XLSX), CSV, HTML, EPUB, plain text, Markdown, and JSON. The converter detects the format automatically from the file you upload.

Are my files stored or shared?

No. Each file is processed in memory only for the length of the conversion and then discarded. Nothing is saved to disk, and the file never leaves the conversion service.

Does it handle scanned PDFs?

This tool converts text-based PDFs. Scanned or image-only PDFs need optical character recognition, which is not part of this converter. If a PDF returns little text, it is likely a scan.

Will tables and headings be preserved?

Yes. Headings, lists, links, and tables are mapped to their Markdown equivalents. Spreadsheets become Markdown tables, and slide decks become headed sections. Complex visual layouts in slides and EPUBs are simplified to text.

Is there a file size limit?

Uploads are limited to 10 MB per file, which comfortably covers most documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
