Product Page AI Citability Checker

Find the missing product facts that stop AI answers from quoting your product.

Free tool

Check your product page

Checks 14 product facts and 16 citability signals. Takes about 5 seconds.

What you get

When a shopper asks an AI assistant what to buy, the answer quotes products whose pages state the facts plainly. This free checker reads a product page the way an AI engine does, checks its Product, Offer and AggregateRating schema and the content around it, and lists the missing facts in priority order.

  • Checks Product, Offer and AggregateRating schema for name, price, currency, availability, brand, GTIN or SKU and ratings.
  • Looks for the content AI answers quote: spec lists, size and fit or compatibility, shipping and returns, visible reviews, FAQs and a real description.
  • Adds the 16 signals from our AI Citability Checker, so you see how quotable the whole page is.

How it works

  1. Paste the URL of one product page.

  2. We fetch the page as an AI crawler sees it, without running JavaScript, and check its schema and content.

  3. Read your score and the list of missing facts, most important first.

Who it's for

  • Ecommerce managers deciding which product page templates to fix first.
  • Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce merchants checking whether a theme or reviews app outputs complete schema.
  • SEO and content teams writing product descriptions that AI assistants can quote.

What makes a product page citable by AI?

AI answers quote facts they can read with confidence: a clear name, a price with its currency, stock status, the brand, an identifier such as a GTIN, ratings, and plain statements about specs, sizing, shipping and returns. Pages that state these in schema and in the visible text are quoted more often.

Why does it say my reviews are missing when shoppers can see them?

Many reviews apps load stars with JavaScript after the page arrives. Most AI crawlers read the HTML without running scripts, so they never see them. Ask your reviews app to output the rating and AggregateRating schema in the server-rendered page.

Do I need a GTIN?

A GTIN (the barcode number) lets AI engines match your product to the same item elsewhere. If your products have none, use a SKU or MPN so each product still has a stable identifier.

Does the checker run JavaScript?

No. It reads the page as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot do: the HTML your server sends. Anything that appears only after JavaScript runs counts as missing.

How is the score calculated?

Product facts carry 60% of the score: seven schema checks and seven content checks. The other 40% comes from the AI Citability Checker's answer readiness, structure, extractability and credibility signals.
