PingAura app for Shopify

Install PingAura in Shopify admin to see how AI assistants talk about your store, check whether AI shopping agents can use it, and count the sessions and orders AI assistants send you.

The PingAura app runs inside Shopify admin. It sets itself up from your product catalogue, measures how AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini talk about your store, and checks whether AI shopping agents can find, read and buy from it.

The app reads your store. It does not edit your products or your content.

Install the app

  1. In Shopify admin, install PingAura and open it from Apps.
  2. The store owner opens it first. PingAura identifies the owner by their Shopify email, so that email must be verified in Shopify.
  3. After that, other staff on the store can open the app too.

If the owner already uses PingAura with the same email, the store is added to their existing workspace. Otherwise PingAura creates a workspace for the store.

The home page has a Getting started checklist that ticks off each step: store connected, first prompts created from your catalogue, first AI visibility run, AI revenue pixel active, and first readiness audit.

AI visibility

PingAura writes the questions shoppers ask AI assistants about products like yours, using your product catalogue, and groups them into topics. These prompts use your plan's prompt quota.

For a store new to PingAura this starts on its own. If the store joined an existing workspace, click Seed prompts from your catalogue on the home page.

The first visibility run starts once the prompts are ready. Results usually appear within 30 minutes. AI visibility then shows:

  • your AI AuraScore, which measures how often and how prominently AI assistants mention your store
  • your share of voice, your share of all brand mentions in those answers
  • the competitors AI recommends for your top prompts
  • the result for each prompt

You can run it again from the same page. How many runs you get each day depends on your plan.

AI shopping readiness

Open Readiness and click Run check. The check has two parts:

  • A store-wide report on whether AI shopping agents can find, read and buy from your store, with a score and a grade. It runs on every plan.
  • Page audits of your home page and product pages. These use your plan's monthly page audit allowance.

Findings are listed by severity. Fix the top findings first. Most findings have an Edit in Shopify link to the page they are about.

AI traffic and revenue

To count AI traffic, the app adds the PingAura pixel to your store. Shopify asks you to allow this the first time: if the home page shows PingAura needs more access, click Grant access. You can grant it later from the same page.

Once the pixel is on, AI revenue shows:

  • AI-referred sessions, by AI assistant
  • AI-attributed orders and their revenue, by currency
  • AI revenue (last touch): an AI assistant was the visitor's last outside source within 30 days
  • AI-assisted revenue: an AI assistant was among the visitor's last three outside sources

Keep in mind:

  • The pixel only counts visitors who allowed analytics in your store's cookie banner, so the real figures can be higher.
  • The figures are reported by the pixel. They are not checked against your Shopify orders.
  • The pixel does not see clicks on your phone, email or WhatsApp links. To count those, add the browser script to your theme. See Track a Shopify store in PingAura.

Every plan shows the totals. The Telemetry add-on also breaks AI revenue down by landing page, AI assistant and product, with a daily trend.

Plans

Open Plans in the app to see and change your plan:

  • Free
  • Starter, with a 14-day free trial the first time a store chooses it
  • Free + Telemetry and Starter + Telemetry, which add the Telemetry add-on

Paid plans are billed by Shopify every 30 days, on your Shopify bill. The app shows the current prices.

If your PingAura team already pays for a plan on pingaura.ai, Shopify does not bill you. Your plan stays on pingaura.ai and you change it there.

Full PingAura dashboard

The full PingAura dashboard has every report and setting for the store. From the app, PingAura emails the store's PingAura owner a one-time sign-in link.
