Competitors

Choose the brands PingAura compares you with, set their aliases, and see how each one does in AI answers.

PingAura scores your competitors on the same AI answers as you, so you can see who AI recommends instead of you. Competitors is where you choose who those brands are.

Open Competitors from AI Visibility in the sidebar.

Add competitors

  • Add competitors: enter one or more website addresses, separated by commas.
  • Suggest competitors: PingAura uses AI to suggest likely competitors in your market. Add the ones that are real competitors.

Adding a competitor does not change your own AI AuraScore or Share of Voice unless that competitor actually appears in the answers. It is safe to track a long list.

Aliases

AI answers often name a brand differently from its website. In the competitor list, open the Actions menu on the competitor's row, choose Edit, and add Aliases: other names AI might use, such as a short name or a product name. PingAura counts any of them as a mention.

Pick aliases carefully. A short alias that appears inside another brand's name will be counted for both. For example, an alias "Acme" also matches every answer that mentions "Acme Labs", a different company.

How competitors show up across PingAura

  • Visibility: Top Competitors ranks every tracked brand by AI AuraScore, and Share of Voice Ranking by mentions and citations.
  • Prompts: each prompt's Competitor Rankings shows who wins that question.
  • Citations: filter Top Cited Pages to Competitors to see the pages AI cites for them.
